Historical identity

Five generations and more than 195 years of history, clear evidence that La Collina's story is one of family and tradition.

We are an entirely family-run business with a mission to honor the history of past generations and with the awareness that we can leave a message to those who will follow us: reverence for rural life as a form of craftsmanship.

From subsistence farming to conscious farming

1830 – Luigi Invernici, 1st generation: our first ancestor migrates from Valle Imagna to Grumello and starts farming out of necessity to support his family, producing bulk and table wine.

Andrea Invernici, 2nd generation: the business becomes the heart of the family, with domestic consumption and initial trade on the local market.

Bruno Invernici, 3rd generation, the decisive turning point: from quantity to quality. Bruno expands the land and names the company after the surrounding hillside amphitheater. He was the first to understand its true value.

Luigi and Sara Invernici, 4th and 5th generation: awareness. Side by side, they carry on the legacy of their heritage, improve techniques, and proudly tell a story that spans almost two centuries.

Luigi’s vineyards and production

Luigi's wine has a soul of rural craftsmanship, combined with meticulous attention to small details.

Now in his thirty-fifth harvest, Luigi continues to experience the vineyard firsthand, carefully following each stage: from cultivation to harvesting, from processing to aging.

Having grown up among the rows of vines, he has been able to transform the art of farming into a business venture, without ever losing the soul of a winemaker that has accompanied him since childhood.

Valcalepio, “Good land, sweet land”

Valcalepio has always been home to our winery and vineyards in the village of Grumello del Monte, Città del Vino.

It is in this precious territory that our agricultural tradition has taken root and evolved over time, growing in symbiosis with it.

Over time, our family has interpreted the Bergamo terroir, expressing its characteristics through the unique vision of each generation.

What has never changed is our deep pride in this land.
